Oversampling

"Oversampling" means reading important analog values twice with calculating an average value afterwards. This process was already realized in the S300 Drive.

The Delta Sigma process is used with the S700 Drive for evaluating important signals (ENCODER, RESOLVER, Current actual values and analog set points), for example refer to page "FPGA based Resolver Conversion with Delta Sigma Technology". This procedure delivers a significant higher performance than oversampling.

With slower channels all amplifiers use the SAR procedure without oversampling.
