Ethercat drive just showing --. Seem to be non-responsive

We have a small demo unit consisting of a  PDMM and an ethercat AKD.  Suddenly the drive is giving a error code of just --.  I cannot scan the drive to the ethercat network and can't connect to it from workbench.  I'm assuming this drive is dead but wanted to make sure.  Do I need to send it back to get fixed or is there something else I can try?

Hello,

I guess just the AKD shows "--". It seems to be that the FPGA image is corrupt.
Did you execute a FW download or a parameter setting via Ethercat before ?
What happen, when you remove all connectors and power cycle the drive ?

You can try to force the AKD into download mode and download a new FW version in order to recover the drive.
Please, refer to workbench help "Forcing the drive into firmware download mode" and execute the steps.

If it doesn't work or the same error code appears once again, then I guess the HW is defect.
