Wiring of KCM with High EMC Requirements

In cases where the cable length is  >500mm or there are high level EMC requirements, observe the notes given below.

Connection

Use a shielded cable for DC-Bus link connection. The shield should be connected on both ends. The wires for DC+ and DC- (BRC wire with KCM-S as well) should be passed with one winding through a ferrite core close to the KCM (see graphics below).

Grounding

The ground wire should be passed through a ferrite core close to the KCM as well.

• Do not connect the cable shield to KCM housing, but to a grounding point with some distance to the ferrite core (see graphics below).
• Do not ground KCM-E expansion modules directly to KCM-S/P.
